When you're designing your bathroom, consider how to make the space function for you — whether you prefer to hide clutter in storage baskets or showcase favorite products and neatly folded linens on open shelves. Bright white walls will always look fresh and clean, but don't overlook adding vibrant tile, towels, or carpets for pops of color. They'll warm up the room and turn it into a cozier retreat. Even painting the trim a saturated hue can create a more inviting vibe. Looking for additional bathroom design inspiration? You need magazines in the bathroom, right? Why not store them in this lovely DIY rustic looking magazine rack. You build this right onto the wall so you don’t need any additional space for it and it holds so many magazines and books! This is such a simple build and you can make it from wood that you have left over from other projects if you happen to have any on hand.
Architect Greg Tankersley and designer Carol Egan conjured a Greenwich retreat that's the perfect blend of pastoral comfort and urban style, with the master bath as perfect proof. The tub by Kohler has fittings by Waterworks, the Hans J. Wegner stool is from Wyeth and the 1970s Luigi Caccia pendant light is from Bernd Goeckler. The Thassos floor tile is from Fordham Marble and the walls are sheathed in Venetian plaster.

For bathrooms which are actually painted a color apart from beige or white, allow which wall color become the stage you work from to select the majority of the color pattern for the bathroom. Keep in mind that rugs, towels, bath curtains, photographs and some other accent pieces must often be a basic color, or maybe complement the color of the walls. For instance, in case you’ve a reddish accent wall within the bathroom, you will want the rugs of yours to be beige or black, or maybe a color that can fit the white, like a burnt orange. As a broad rule, there shouldn’t be much different in the bathroom which really matches the color of a daring painted wall.
In just about five minutes or less, you can DIY this great rustic toothbrush holder from an old mason jar. You could do this with a plain jar or paint it white and distress it a bit for a really nice farmhouse look. Just a small piece of wired chicken net keeps your toothbrushes perfectly organized and separated. This one really is quick and easy to make.
